Corva

MULTIMEDIA PROJECT

2023

My primary aspiration for the summer internship was to delve into the complete creative process of video production, from inception to delivery. As a video editor in my day-to-day role, I sought to broaden my skillset, particularly in the pre-production phase. I communicated this ambition to Corva during the interview process, and they identified a need for a creative collaborator to assist their multimedia team in producing a corporate event highlight video. Joining Corva on June 5th, 2023, I found myself under the mentorship of Kelis Woods, a UH Digital Media Program alum, who guided me through the intricacies of multimedia creation at Corva.

Throughout the internship, I tackled two main tasks: revamping help content for Corva's app store and aiding Kelis in producing the highlight video. Additionally, I supported Kelis in various daily tasks, including running company meetings and capturing headshots of new hires. Reflecting on my internship experience, I am proud of the milestones achieved. I spearheaded the production of the Hackathon video, engaging in storyboarding, mood board creation, and the editing process.Similarly, I assisted in crafting a hype video for CorvaCon, showcasing my collaborative spirit and technical proficiency. The internship presented an opportunity for personal growth and development of soft skills. Working closely with Corva's marketing team honed my teamwork and leadership abilities while forging professional relationships with colleagues across departments laid the groundwork for potential future collaborations.

In hindsight, the internship proved to be a transformative experience, fostering my passion for multimedia creation and providing valuable insights into the professional landscape. I am grateful for the mentorship of Kelis Woods and the support of the Corva team, and I eagerly anticipate further opportunities for growth in my videography career.
